Folio Japanese Paper

Architect: Tito Canella Architetti

In the lighting design of a private residence in Milan, light interacts with materials and architectural volumes through the Folio Japanese Paper solution, inspired by the aesthetic balance of Eastern tradition. The vertical surfaces of the shower area feature a backlit system that replicates the texture of Japanese paper, merging technology and material into a single luminous element. With an IP65 protection rating, the light fixture is resistant to humidity and water splashes. The wall-mounted installation includes a minimum gap of 20 millimeters from the floor to avoid direct contact with water. Folio Japanese Paper combines functionality, design, and durability, transforming light into a poetic element, even in the most challenging areas of the home.
