Folio Opal 10L
Inside the MIT Museum, light becomes an integral part of the exhibition narrative.
For Ani Liu's work “The Surrogacy”, a glass sculpture in the shape of a pig suspended between scientific research and ethical reflection, the lighting is designed to enhance the material, transparencies, and internal details without interfering with the interpretation of the work.
The backlit base made with Folio Opal 10L generates a perfectly uniform luminous surface, capable of activating the glass from within and amplifying its visual depth. The high homogeneity of the opal diffuser and the reduced thickness of the system allow for discreet integration into the pedestal, eliminating hot spots and unwanted shadows.
Light thus becomes an invisible but decisive element: it supports the volumetric perception of the work, emphasizes its material fragility, and creates a calibrated contrast with the surrounding environment.
At the MIT Museum, Folio Opal 10L is not simply technical lighting, but a curatorial tool: a controlled luminous surface that accompanies the visitor in an immersive and precise experience.
