DAR Costitution Hall, inaugurated in 1929, is the largest concert hall of Washington DC and welcomes over half a milion of spectators each year. The Constitution Hall’s restoration project, aming to a historical preservation supported by modern technology, has Folio as its key player in restoring skylight’s original spirit. 972 Folio Opal 2L panels had been installed on the ceiling of the hall to mimic the original view of daylight and the evening sky. Folio technology enables the controlled ignition of the many stars, created through the installation of cleverly arranged LED dots within the Opal 2L panels. Each panel, characterized by minimized energy consumption, is fully removable and integrated in the attic grids. Folio light replicates the original laylight scenario, enhancing the overall visitor experience and engaging them in the history of the place.
